The project Crossing

The project, is composed by artists that work generally in Europe, but that travel with their work by the entire world, being found with the respective realities of each place, sharing thus ideas, forms of life, experiences and art among others. In this case the destiny is Mexico, its culture, its people, its history and to try an approximation to the marginalized places, zones in social-cultural conflict, to be able to achieve an exchange.

Idea:

The main idea of the project is to develop a performance, that gather the experiences that we will live in Mexico and the fruit of the different workshops that will happen on the road. The Travelers, will be a fusion of our experiences during the three months that last the project and the result of each one of the workshops we will give. Starting from a base that is our primary idea of The Travelers, they would go incorporating members of each workshop, for thus be able to give it a new form, we say, a new play would be born each time, rich in new shades, fruit of the work as a group with the local people, taking the personal proposals and thus to be able to travel through together what will be our trip, to share our road so then, as a result of all the experience acquired to present the final version of The Travelers.

Spectacle The Travelers:

In the crossing of many roads different personages are found, to count thus their histories (not necessary in the high voice). The question is: Why are they on the road?, where they go?, where do they come from?, what are they looking for? The work is going to be interactive with the public, and with the local people from each place, both through the common election of the place where the function be carry out, and the integration inside the performance.

Workshop of different street theater skills:

The workshop will have a duration of minimum 5 to 7 days, and there will be worked out different techniques as:
- Relation between space-place, both group and duos work, approximation to the personage and their expression, - use of the imagination, the voice, utilization of objects, interaction, improvisation, and composition., The last day for the closing of the workshop, the idea is to show the result in the street, carrying out a collective improvisation where together the participants and the actors can bring out the theme The Travelers.

Eleonora Aira /Argentina
Actress, studied in the school of Dramatic art in Argentina. In parallel learned dance, clown, juggling, and theater of movement. It dedicated to physical theater, work in Germany over eight years ago collaborating with different groups, so much of theater as of clown, out-on-the-street or not. As own projects develops work with children, workshops of Clown, direction in different projects, instilled to the out-on-the-street theater above all. My dream is always to be able to travel, learning and sharing what I have learned up to now, trying to become smile the sadness…

Paulina Almeida /Portugal
Actually based in Berlin and Porto. Lived and performed in several countries all over the world. Attended the Superior School of Theater in Porto following a Specialization in Street Theatre. Collaborates as a resident artist with the street theater companies Grotest Maru (G) and Plasticien Volants (F) Beside her personal projects of social-performance and directing .As a continuous personal developing attended various workshops and intensive learning about neutral mask, clown, puppets theatre, aerial dance, butoh dance, costumes, stilts, objects manipulation, drumming, voice, Chinese Traditional medicine, massage, etc.
Keeps looking for ways of expression based on the border between world cultures and momentum reality as a working base.


Barbara Pradzynska /Poland Licensed in Filologia Polish in the UAM Poznan/ Poland. Actress in different theaters. Director of own projects and performances. Founder of the group theatrical CANOE/ Mexico and group FRACTALE/ Poland. Director of theatrical workshops for students, professional and people with physical and mental deficiencies. It interested by the social life of the marginalized
people of different parts of the world.
